The Benefits of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

When you chose to live your life more holistically, it’s amazing just how simple it can actually be. If you take a look in your pantry, you may be able to find one magic bottle that seems to cure it all. Until recently, I hadn’t realized that the key to my immunity, nourished hair, and balanced skin were all to be found in a bottle that I regarded only for my taste buds. Once I learned of the power of raw apple cider vinegar, my life completely changed for the better.

As a nursing mother of a young baby, there wasn’t much I could take to relieve my cold symptoms. I was afraid of any over the counter medications being transferred to my sweet child. A friend suggested that I try raw apple cider vinegar and guaranteed it would work. I created a special concoction in a mug with hot water, a tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar, honey, and a squeeze of lemon. Every eight hours I consumed this concoction, which also eased my sore throat. Within only thirty-six hours I was back to feeling myself. Raw apple cider vinegar is a natural way to maintain or boost the immune system. The secret is in the “mother” or that pulp-like substance you will see in the bottle. This is where the mighty nutrients and enzymes are found.

Raw apple cider vinegar doesn’t only provide a wealth of internal benefits, but is also known to beautify the skin and hair. I have not only tried, but use these blends on a regular basis. A great way to add shine and softness naturally to your hair is to create a simple raw apple cider vinegar hair rinse. This is to be used in the shower after shampooing. Simply mix one cup water with two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar. Celebrities such as Jessica Alba swear by this simple and natural remedy. Raw apple cider vinegar also works as an astringent by regulating the pH balance of your skin. Simply mix one part raw apple cider vinegar with two parts water and rub over the skin with a cotton ball or facial pad. Voila, beauty concoctions don’t get any easier than that!

These are just some of the ways that I have found raw apple cider vinegar to be beneficial to me.
